Dell U2711 Review

image

My new Dell U2711 is the priciest monitor I’ve ever owned. As one would expect from it’s price tag it is by far is the best looking and color accurate monitor you can buy. The Dell U2711 Monitor delivers stunning detail, depth, responsiveness and amazing color accuracy.

Here are some of it specs:

  • 27″ Display and 2560 x 1440 (max) WQHD Resolution
  • 16:9 Widescreen Aspect Ratio: Delivers an incredible high-definition experience.
  • 6-Millisecond Response Time (typical) Grey to Grey: Fast response helps reduce ghosting and takes the blur out of fast-moving multi-media images.
  • 80,000: 1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio (Max): Able to produce deep blacks, razor-sharp graphics and text, brilliant color.
  • In-Plane Switching technology (IPS): Allows for superb color consistency.
  • State-of-the-Art Color Depth: 12-bit internal processing (Most panels are 8bit)
  • Factory-tuned Adobe RGB and sRGB modes – minimize the need for further color calibration.
  • 100% sRGB and 96% AdobeRGB
  • Flexible Viewing & Mounting Options
  • Zero Bright Pixels
  • IT Remote Management via Dell Client Manager software
  • 3-year limited hardware warranty and 3 years of Dell’s Advanced Exchange Service

While this monitor is worth every penny if you want to get it on the cheap you should look at Dell’s “Days of deals” sale. You can get $250-$350 if you are able to wait it out like I did.
