This post will go over how to fix slow gmail connections! I recently noticed that almost every computer I went to Gmail was performing VERY slowly. I am thinking that Google made some changes recently as Internet Explorer in my opinion loaded Gmail just as fast as Chrome and waaaaay faster then Firefox.
I ended up doing a search on this issue. The issue revolves around how google saves it’s cache on your local machine. This cache can become corrupt. If it does you may experience really slow loading times… Some of your email might even seem like it won’t open.
To fix this open Internet Explorer. If there is no file menu at the top of the page if you hit the “alt” key the menu will drop down. Once you see the menu click “Tools” – “Internet Options” – Then hit the “Delete…” Button.
You need to delete all the temp files.
Once you do this exit Internet Explorer and re-open it. Gmail should be blazing fast again.
The thing I find funny is that this all started happening after Google said that “You should use a better Browser”. Coincidence? Seems kind of shady if you ask me 😉
