Yahoo! Your instructions for disabling Dell’s wireless program totally worked! I attempted to fix this issue for 3 years with 2 IT friends and could never find workable instructions online. Thanks SO much, Jared. Your instructions were clear, easy to follow, and empowered me to understand more about how my computer can be managed. I now also have a better sense of what bloaware is. The instructions for switching to Windows wireless manager didn’t quite work, but when I got into my wireless network connection properties, it appeared that Windows was already set for my wireless network settings. So, I think my machine is ok. Bless you!

This particular error is preventing me from logging in on a virtual PC. I do have a snapshot I can roll back to. Thanks for posting this though.

It worked but I still can’t connect to my wireless network. I’ve gone all the way to step 7 of the second section above.
When I uncheck it, the “ADD” option becomes un-clickable.
everything was working fine two days ago. I’ve tried everything. System Retore refuses to even retore to past dates.
