How to Remove “Sent from Windows Mail” from Windows 8 Mail App

I just started using Windows 8. While I absolutely love it I was getting annoyed with the default setting to add “Sent from Windows Mail”. This is easy to do but it a bit annoying it is setup by default.

To remove “Sent from Windows Mail” from the Windows Metro App follow these steps:

  1. Open Windows Mail App
  2. Open Charms (Hold mouse over the top right corner of the screen)
  3. Select “settings”
  4. Select Accounts
  5. Select the Account you want to make the change to
  6. Scroll down and you will see “Sent from Windows Mail”. This box is essentially your email signature area.
  7. Remove the words “Sent from Windows Mail” and enter something a little more you like your name

Here’s some screenshots to help you:

When you hold your mouse over the top right corner the charms slider will slide out. Click on the bottom item labeled settings”

Click the account.

Remove the words “Sent from Windows Mail” or just disable the email signature all together.

I really hoped this helped you remove the Sent from Windows Mail default signature.
