Everything was working fine for me an all of a sudden my Logitech G930 head set would only play in the one ear. At first I thought the G930 was only play sound in one ear for all apps but I was mistaken. The G930 was only messing up when I was listening to sound in my browser. If I opened up Windows media player and played an MP3 everything was fine. Another thing I noticed was if I switched on surround sound button both sides of the headset would work again. After hour of troubleshooting I figured out how get things back up an running.
Here’s how I fixed the G930 working so the sound would play out of both ears again.
Right click the audio icon in the system tray:
Make sure you select the Logitech G930 headset and hit configure
You should only be able to select 7.1 surround sound… Click Next
Make sure only Center and Subwoofer is selected.
Make sure Front left and Right are the only items selected.
Setup should be done.
Click on Properties
Make sure Channel Phantoming is turned on.
