Shelby Error Handler–Your program has encountered a problem DBInstallApp

Here’s a screenshot of the error message. You are most likely getting the message when you go to create the Shelby database using their tool located at:

C:\Shelby\ssv5.prg\DBInstall\DBInstall.exe

The most common reason for this error is that are running SQL Server 2005 Express but you HAVE NOT upgraded to the Service Pack 3 for SQL Server 2005 Express. There is a couple of ways to update your software

1. Download SQL Server 2005 Express SP3
2. Windows Update – Just make sure to run Windows update and patch all items.
