Growing up, one of the yearly traditions my family did was to go to Eaton’s for our pictures with Santa. I can always remember going through Santa’s village. Honestly it was one of the things I really looked forward to each year. This year Eaton’s Santa Village here in Winnipeg was held by Manitoba Hydro. Normally the Children’s Museum would be the on that hosts the displays since Eaton’s closed.
It was nice to take the family down so that they could experience what I remember so fondly. I pains me to say that unfortunately Hydro really didn’t do much to re-create Santa’s Village. It looked like they threw things together. Because of how massive the area is the where the village is setup, the displays seems to be dwarfed.
